Colby Woodland Gardens - National Trust

Colby Woodland Gardens

Another place to tick off on our list of places to go! We went to Colby Woodland Gardens - it was fantastic!!!

We met lots of new friends!

Including more four leggers! He was even smaller than us!
Marlowe with 'Oreo' the 12 week old lab puppy

We tried to fit in places that the two leggers couldn't! Haha!

Of course we ate looooads of amazing grass!!

The grass was taller than us in some places!

Can you spot us?!

Eating grass is thirsty work! We have to make sure we drink plenty of water!

Merlin was even lucky enough to be shown around the meadow by the two legger Nicky from Colby Woodland Gardens!

And she showed us a really cool booklet of things to do before you are 11 and three quarters and one of those was to learn to ride a horse!  Click here to see what else is on the list.

Another one was to play on a rope swing -which we did!! :D

 Hahahahaha!!

They were also doing a game called pin the tail on the pony - well, we're glad it's not us they're pinning a tail onto! Ouch!

Here's Marlowe and one of our two leggers having a nice Cwtch!
N'awwwwwwwwwwwwww!

And then they had a sleep!!!

And more sleep...

 and more...

He's still sleeping...

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..

He even had this guy come and say hi!

And then he got a nice kiss when he woke up!

I just kept eating :D

From the two leggers:-

Colby Woodland Garden is part of the National Trust. We had a truly wonderful time at Colby Woodland Gardens! It's such a gorgeous place with lots to explore. They also have different things to encourage children to enjoy the outdoors and things for families to do together. They have pond dipping kits to use on their ponds, rope swings, places to build dens and even camp fires where you can cook your own food on!

They have the Bothy Tea Room which has rather yummy Carrot Cake (which Hazel highly recommends) as well as other cakes, tasty treats and meals!

Dogs are welcome on leads - as our Toby shows you! He loved the stream they have going through the meadow!

As always, a huge thank you to our hosts at Colby Woodland Garden - especially Nicky who helped us arrange and organise our visit as well as spread the word!
